This video is specific to older versions of the Bomgar Appliance software. If your Bomgar Appliance is running Base 3.2 or later, please see Using SSL Certificates or Using Signed SSL Certificates.
- Go to SSL Configuration page under Security tab of the admin interface
- Choose key strength (2048, 1024, or 512-bit)
- Enter location, contact information, and domain name
- Create private key password
- Enter multiple subject alternative names if necessary
- Generate SSL certificate request
- Save certificate request and private key in secure location
- Submit certificate request to authority of your choice (do not submit private key)
- Once certificate is signed by authority, you will be sent certificate with intermediate certificates file
- Once both of these files are saved in secure location, go to Networking tab in appliance interface
- Select IP address you wish to apply SSL certificate to
- Browse to public certificate and private key files
- Enter private key password and browse to intermediate certificates file
- Click Upload and confirm that you wish to replace existing SSL Certificate
- Once certificates are uploaded, contact Bomgar to complete process
- Bomgar rep will create unique license package
- After receiving software build, click Management tab in admin interface, and go Security page
- Enable SSL Certificate Validation to secure remote desktop control activity
